Hours Of OPeration
The EMI Childcare Center is open year-round. The hours of operation are Monday – Friday 6:30 am- 5:30 pm. Parents/Guardians may register children for full-time, part-time, weekend, and drop-in schedules as they become available.

We are pleased you and your family have selected Emi Childcare Center for your child’s educational needs. At Emi Childcare Center, we are committed to providing children with a strong educational foundation through our developmentally appropriate programs in a warm, nurturing and secure environment. We have prepared this handbook to answer the most common questions parents have concerning our policies and procedures.

Staff Qualification
All ECC teachers meet or exceed the state of Alabama DHR licensing requirements. Every year, the directors, teachers, and assistant teachers must complete a required number of continued training hours. All of the staff is CPR & First Aid certified. They are experienced working with young children in a supervised program. In addition, our staff members truly love and understand child development and our philosophy.
Our teachers are fun, engaging, and dedicated professionals that exceed the daycare requirements for employment. We highlight their individual talents to aid in our program growing as a whole.
- Must complete a 30 day onboarding process and in-class training. New hires are mentored throughout the process of their first 90 days. This is training done the ECC way.
- All of our educators must pass all state and federal background checks.
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- Complete Professional Development and continued education is a requirement as we strive to maximize each child’s early learning experience

Societal Values
The theme of gender/racial equality and respect for the earth is an integral part of our philosophy and demonstrated in the following ways:
- We use non-gender specific titles such as: ‘fire fighters’ and ‘police officers’.
- We expose children to non-biased professional role models through literature, dramatic play and special classroom guests.
- We incorporate environmental awareness and respect in all areas of the curriculum.
Our Educational Approach
Our curriculum is designed to be informative and engaging for all ages and stages of our students.
- We bridge the transition from home to school with our pleasantly calm environment. A great amount of thought has been put into making each space enjoyable for an optimal learning experience.
- High quality furnishings indoor and outdoor to inspire learning and cultivate each child’s development.
- Indoor and Outdoor classes are provided.
- Charming learning centers in each classroom.
- Garden to teach children about the origin of our food. They enjoy the farm to table aspect of growing and learning about vegetables.
- Introduction to foreign language through Spanish emersion
- American Sign Language is taught from infancy and expanded upon throughout each class.
Supporting Families
Our curriculum is designed to be informative and engaging for all ages and stages of our students.Our families are a part of our communities from across Madison County, AL. We partner with parents to create an environment ensuring their child’s growth and learning experiences are as expected. Families are supported as their children transition into different classes and achieve milestones. Information is provided to families about locating support for tuition assistance and other community resources
